Sam Khatami is a serial entrepreneur and venture builder with over 35 years of global experience in the biopharmaceutical, diagnostic, and biomedical research industries. He is the Founding Managing Partner of Prescient Venture Development, where he leads international business development, strategic partnerships, and venture formation for emerging life science companies.
In parallel, Sam is Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of VitaCure Bio, a clinical-stage biotechnology company advancing a novel therapeutic vaccine platform toward first-in-human and early clinical development. VitaCure reflects Prescient’s venture-building model in practice—translating academic innovation into globally executable development and commercialization strategies.
Previously, Sam held senior leadership roles including Project Manager at King Abdullah International Medical Center, President of sGC Pharma, and Co-Founder and CEO of Remedyon, Inc. and Neuronautics, Inc. He has also held positions at Abbott Diagnostics, Celsis International, Molecular Geriatrics Inc., and Cole & Associates.

Mr. Johnson possesses a diverse background and extensive work experience spanning biochemistry, bioinformatics, cell biology, gene therapy, immunology, molecular biology, virology, and stem cell biology. Luke Deng brings nearly 30 years of rich experience in financial banking, macro-financial strategy, and innovative industrial integration. His expertise in complex financial structuring and capital markets operations has created billions in value for investors and portfolio companies.
Mr. Deng specializes in mergers and acquisitions of listed companies, banks, and insurance companies, with particular expertise in large-scale infrastructure projects, telecommunications, media, and energy sectors. His multifaceted background provides unique insights across the entire drug development and commercialization lifecycle.
Dr. Chen possesses varied expertise in conducting research and clinical practice related to psychiatric disorders and has deep experience in new drug development and commercialization, initially in CNS therapeutics and subsequently across many major therapeutic areas including oncology, immunology, cardiovascular, and metabolic diseases.
Throughout his distinguished career, Dr. Chen has held key R&D, business leadership, and supervisory positions at multinational biopharmaceutical companies and biotech startups, including Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson, OBI Pharma, and Adimmune Corporation. His roles have spanned clinical development, medical affairs, regulatory strategy, and commercial planning.
As an experienced consultant to numerous biotech and pharmaceutical companies worldwide, Dr. Chen specializes in portfolio management, asset evaluation, clinical development and commercialization strategy, regulatory strategy, clinical trial design, and strategic partnership assessment.
